Never give up!!!

My little west highland white terrier girl, HAD skin cancer, the most deadly form and fastest growing located on her upper lip under her eye. I had it removed three times and it came back each time with a worse lab report. I decided to go to a cancer vet. We went with radiation (as chemo was not effective against this form). We also tried the expensive new vaccine against skin cancer. It once again grew back.
I was heart broken. She was a young dog with a very bleak , very bleak outlook. I searched the internet. I found Essiac. The ingredients didn't seem all that inspiring, but I gave it chance. The tumor continued growing and reaching the size of a plum hanging on her lip. I asked the vet if he could once again remove it as she appeared in good health otherwise. He gave me little hope, as it was massive and could only offer debulking it, and leaving an open wound. DURING THE REMOVAL THE VET WAS ASTOUNDED WHEN THE TUMOR NEARLY CAME OFF CLEAN!!!! He started using the laser to remove it and it popped off leaving an empty space between the tumor and what appeared to be very healthy normal tissue. He was able to remove it and have enough skin to close the wound. The stitches just came out today, and IT LOOKS AND FEELS FANTASTIC. Time will only tell how this plays out, but both the cancer vet and my vet (who never saw anything like that before) both agree, it sure sounds like the body was rejecting the tumor and it was dying!!!!!
