Essiac tea dosage suggestions:

For best results, take two hours after and one hour before eating (on an empty stomach.)

There are three main factors that affect essiac tea dosage:

1. Seriousness of condition. We advise those fighting cancer to take the aggressive treatment dose.

2. Tolerance for the taste of the tea. The taste of the tea bothers some people. Although the tea tastes somewhat bitter, many people tolerate it just fine. Most people get used to the taste over time.

3. Body weight. Those with lower body weights may require less essiac. Those with higher body weights may need more essiac.

AGGRESSIVE TREATMENT Dose: Recommended essiac tea dosage is 9 oz. of tea per day, taken in three separate 3 oz. doses on an empty stomach. 6-12 oz. PER DAY may be used**.

* You should this dose if you have or suspect you have a serious condition

* You should stay on the aggressive treatment dosage program for at least 5 months. After that, you can switch to a maintenance dosage of 3 oz. per day if your test results have returned to normal. If the original condition persists, continue on the aggressive treatment dosage until your condition improves and you are satisfied with the results.

** Essiac can be taken during traditional cancer treatments without interfering with that treatment. If you are undergoing chemotherapy and/or radiation, be aware that chemo and radiation can lessen the effects of essiac tea. If you plan to continue your chemo and/or radiation, you might consider taking up to 6 oz. of essiac tea three times per day. Many people have tried this with good results, but it will be your decision if you’d like to experiment with this. We’ve seen the typical 9 oz. per day work well, and we’ve also seen 18 oz. per day work well for some people.

MAINTENANCE TREATMENT Dose: Recommended essiac tea dosage is 3 oz. of tea per day, and can be taken all at once. 2 to 6 oz. may be used. Take on an empty stomach. The lower end of this range is more appropriate for supplementary use, while the higher of this range may be more appropriate for the treatment of a mild medical condition.

* Administer the maintenance dosage for at least 6 months after your test results have returned to normal.

* Some also take the maintenance dosage as a daily preventive supplement.

* The amount of time you should stay on a maintenance essiac program will be up to you. There are various factors that affect essiac dosage. If you have questions, please contact us.
